1. PANASONIC LUMIX S1 H

High resolution up to 6K for multiple formats

The Panasonic S1H is a 6K Full Frame dual ISO sensor Mirrorless beast filmmaking camera supporting internal recording at 6K (5952 x 3968) 10-bit 4:2:0, 4K (4096 x 2160) 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4K at 60fps with an image to boast about. Recording options include full-frame 5.9K (30p, 24p) 10-Bit 4:2:0, 5.4K (24p) 10Bit 4:2:0, then 4K in full-frame and crop sensor in 10-bit 4:2:2 at 24fps and 30fps, we can also overcrank at 48fps and 60fps in 4K at 4:2:0 and in HD 120fps at 10-bit 4:2:0.

We largely reserve 6K for VFX plates or with the intent of reframing later. What is exciting is the fact that the full-frame sensor produces a beautiful, clean 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 400mbps image that is oversampled from that 6K sensor.

The LUMIX S1H features V-Log/V-Gamut with a wide dynamic range of 14+ stops. This allows it to precisely capture everything from dark to bright areas. So much so, that the color and even the texture of human skin are faithfully reproduced.

2. Nikon D850

The Nikon D850 photo capabilities are truly world-class. The 46 megapixel sensor is the standout feature. At this resolution, the D850 is like a mini medium format camera. Composing photographs is a whole lot easier when you know you can crop out half your shot and still have 23 megapixels to play with.

Low-light noise on the D850 for stills is spectacular. Even up to ISO 25,600 the noise looks natural and, in this philistine's opinion, is no more offensive than film grain.

3. Sennheiser EW 100-ENG G3 Wireless Lavalier

The Sennheiser EW 100-ENG G3 Wireless Lavalier system is a tried and tested line of wireless mics. These two have the ability to connect to XLR or 3.5 mm Jack.

It has a quality omnidirectional MKE 2 Gold lavalier mic and up to 3520 frequencies over 88 MHz. The ew 100 G3 only offers up to 1680 frequencies over 42 MHz.

All forms of media can fail, including hard drives and camera recording media. It doesn’t matter the cost, the brand, or whether it’s readily available, or proprietary. No one form of media is 100% guaranteed to never fail but at Malaika Media we don't take changes. We have multiple backup system to eliminate data loss. We use NAS, G-drives, Transcend and drives and SSDs as well as 4TB google drive spave
