The purpose of The Education Plus Initiative is to stimulate renewed commitments by countries in the Eastern and Southern African region towards empowerment of adolescent girls, young women and boys as partners to end AIDS, gender-based discrimination and violence.

Malaika Media team was tasked by UNAIDS to put together this video on the commitment of the The Education Plus the governments of Uganda, Gambia, Gabon, Sieerra Leone and Malawi. The Education Plus Initiative, is a high profile and high- level political advocacy drive to accelerate actions and investments for adolescent girls, which was conceived by UNAIDS, UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF and UN Women in 2019.

The Hillsong Church in the UK is a partner of Compassion International in Uganda. It sponsors children's education and has supported Ugandan families and communities. This video is our appreciation for their love and generosity and the world of difference it has made in Uganda, especially in mitigating the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
